Hi,

To collapse an expanded folder in Finder when in List mode, do one of the
following:

• cmd-left.
• left arrow
• VO-back slash

You must have interacted with the List in order for the VO-back slash action to
work. The others should work as long as the keyboard has focus on the given
folder.

How did it become expanded in the first place? You must have opened it with
the opposite of one of the above commands such as right arrow, cmd-right or
toggled the VO-back slash action. If you opened a folder while in a Open or
Save dialog, this also may leave the folder open when you go to that folder in
the Finder at a future time.

Later...
