Hi Donna, try this:
• go to the Finder. • press cmd-shift-h to open your Home folder. • find the Library folder. If it's not visible, press cmd-j to bring up the View Options window and check the box to show your Library folder. It's way down near the bottom. • find the Preferences folder and open it. • locate the file named com.apple.assistance and trash it. cmd-delete should do it. • try dictating once again. This is step one of many that can be used to get dictation working properly. If it doesn't work, then we'll move on to #2. Later...
