Hi Jonathan, No, the option key no longer gives me diacritics. Oh, joy.
I think what I want to do is restore from a backup from before all this started. Is it possible for me to just restore settings without restoring documents and such? If anyone knows how to do this and could talk me through it, I would appreciate it. I've been mucking around in Time Machine, but the restore process doesn't seem very intuitive.
