HI all,

I’m currently in the market for a Windows computer for work and I’m realizing
that my trusty External HD is formatted for exclusive use with Mac. This was a
lack of foresight on my part.

Well, now I’m getting the new laptop and I would like the drive to work with
both Windows and Mac, but I don’t want to lose any data. I was thinking maybe I
could create a partition, so that the partition would work across both
platforms but the bigger partition would only support Mac. Does this make sense
and does this sound like something that’s possible? If anyone has any links or
tutorials on how to do this, I’d love to see them. Feel free to email me off
list at [email protected].

Thanks all.
