Hello Raymond,

Live regions are areas that the web designer has marked as being important 
enough that they should speak even when you do not have a cursor on them.  A 
good example of them is when using the Google mail interface and you hit x it 
will tell you how many messages are selected, and then when you hit pound it 
will tell you how many messages were deleted. 

The problem comes in when folks decide that a section of the page with updating 
photographs or advertisements needs to have live regions.
