Microsoft's developers have significantly improved the accessibility of
Microsoft Office for Mac in recent years. Reporting the issues that you find
may help them in prioritizing further improvements. The problem is that if
people aren't using it for real work, the bugs won't be found and fixed - so,
if you can use Microsoft Word for Mac for at least some work, it would help in
discovering what the issues are and in encouraging Microsoft's Mac
accessibility efforts.

    Good morning, all,

I am fast coming to a computer crossroads, so thought I would seek some
input from the list.

My job relies heavily on using MS Word. I do a lot of document sharing, so
use Comments and Track Changes extensively. Though it may be because I'm not
doing something right, I haven't found using Pages to be satisfactory. The
interface for reading comments and changes in Windows seems smoother, and i
also notice that when I move documents between Pages and Word, the fonts don't
seem to transfer, i.e. Mac doesn't seem to see Windows fonts and vice versa.

I have a PC that I bought back in 2010. It continues to limp along, so
that has primarily been the computer I use for work stuff. But it's starting
to grumble a little more than it used to, so I'm planning now for the day that
it actually gives up the ghost.

One option is of course to just buy another inexpensive PC. But I'm
wondering about whether it's time to just buck up and install either bootcamp
or Fusion. Fusion is appealing because it would preserve the option to run
Windows and Mac simultaneously. I would be interested to hear thoughts on how
both options work in High Sierra, and if anyone can speak to it, Mojave. The
things I would do in Windows are pretty limited. Mostly, Word, Duxbury,
K1000--which could conceivably be replaced with ABBYY on the Mac--and some web
browsing when I can't get sites to play nice on the Mac.

thanks for any and all input.
    Cheers,
    Donna
