Hello Everyone, I am cross-posting this to both the V iPhone and Mac Visionaries mailing list.
As of the latest Twitter for iOS app, v7.28.2, released July 24, 2018, VoiceOver users cannot read long direct messages. If the DM goes beyond a certain number of characters, speech stops. This was not the case in previous versions of the app. Please join me in reporting this issue. The following is the review I posted in the App Store. You are welcome to use any or all of it in your feedback to Twitter: [BEGIN REVIEW] [SUBJECT]: As of Latest App Update, The Visually Impaired Cannot Read Long Direct Messages [BODY]: Hello, As of the latest Twitter for iOS app, v7.28.2, released July 24, 2018, VoiceOver users cannot read long direct messages. Select the Messages Tab located along the bottom row of the display. 3. Attempt to read a direct message longer than 15 or so characters. I am posting this review as a means of requesting that the Twitter developers address this problem as soon as possible. Thank you, [END REVIEW] Here is my tweet on this issue: [BEGIN TWEET]: In #iOS @Twitter v7.28.2 app, long Direct Messages are no longer accessible via #VoiceOver, Apple's software screen reading solution for the blind and #LowVision.
