Hi Jonathan, Are you meaning AD I've seen a few devices coming out with it and wondered if it had been ratified already.

That being said, most of the press I have read about mesh networks says they are easy to set up and add new routers to the mesh as space requires with the only major issue being that each vendor has its own protocol for maintaining the mesh so you get stuck with that vendor unless you swap out the entire network. In terms of VPN, you might have an issue of double NATTING, this can prevent VPN software from working. Generally these days you need to allow your ISP to allocate your private address space and not attempt to have your Airport router do this. That could be an issue if your ISP limits the number of active devices allowed on your account. If you are using smart devices you also might want to set up a separate LAN at your house that has no real Internet access to reduce chances of hacking. Hope this gives you some ideas. > On Aug 19, 2018, at 9:54 PM, 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries > <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi, > > > Actually, the Airport devices can handle VPN just fine and I created one on > my home airport network quite easily.
