Hello, I am running the latest version of High Sierra. I use the app bean to edit simple doc and docx files as it is simple to use and does everything I need. It It was originally from a non recognised developer. It is set as my default program to open doc and docx. Recently if I select a doc file in finder and press command+down arrow to open that file I get a message saying that the file is from an unrecognised developer. Presumably the problem is bean being from an unrecognised developer. However if I open bean and then choose the desired doc file it all works fine, but that is tedious compared with locating the desired file in finder and doing command+down arrow to open it. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem. I do not want to have to go to system preferences for every doc file I want to open! Many thanks….
