Why would there be conflicts both systems are made by Apple, and there has been a six month Beta program where a new version of Pages was released a few days before the release of 10.14. But then unless there is a feature in the new OS that would help you, I would encourage you to stay with your current setup. It doesn’t make sense to play around with updating Operating Systems when you need your system for critical work. At least the new OS does not have a completely new disk format structure like High Sierra, but I have heard that automation tools have more difficulty using Apple Events to control other programs. Apparently if you use any of these tools there a are a lot of confirmation screens to wade through.
Personally, unless my office requests I verify operation of our next version of our Applications with the new OS, I probably won’t upgrade until November or December.
