Hi,

It's been a while since I did this, and it's possible that there are some new
features in the latest version of HandBrake, but overall, there's a lot of
stuff on the page that you don't need to worry about. There should be a drawer
where you can set the preferred export type, such as m4v for most iOS and Apple
devices, mp4 and such. Once you have that set, you put the DVD into the drive,
quit DVD player if it auto-starts, press cmd-o in HandBrake, press cmd-shift-c
so that you can see the cvarious volumes attached to the Mac, select the DVD
and press Open. HandBrake will scan the DVD for titles and such which may take
a while. Once the scanning is done, check where it plans to save the ripped
media and press Start in the Toolbar. There's a lot of extraneous stuff on the
page that you really don't need to worry about. Depending on the speed of your
Mac and the length of the DVD, it may take half and hour or more to rip it.

HTH.

Later...
