Hi, I’ve gotten myself into a bit of a mess. I upgraded my iCloud storage to the 50GB plan, then decided I really didn’t need it after all so wanted to copy what was on the iCloud Drive back to my Mac so I could downgrade. I went into System Prefs to turn iCloud Drive off, but didn’t do it the right way I guess, because now I have a whole bunch of duplicates on my iCloud drive, and I’m out of space. I kept getting the message that everything had to be copied, but what’s getting copied was what was on my entire drive, not simply the documents and desktop folders, which I assume should have been the only stuff on my iCloud Drive. So I found an app on the App Store called easy duplicate remover, but it doesn’t seem to be very VO friendly. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can first weed out the duplicates, and then get stuff out of iCloud Drive onto my Mac? The biggest culprit is the Documents folder.
I’m writing this a bit hastily because I need to go out to an appointment this afternoon, but was hoping to get some ideas while I was away. I hope the above makes sense, but if not I do understand.
