I don't have a tutorial, but I--and others here--can try to answer questions. First, though, which screen reader will you be using? If you left Windows years ago, you might not think that NVDA can work for you, but it can in many cases. I do IT, and use NVDA exclusively. Even Narrator on Windows 10 is becoming a viable backup screen reader.
Anyway, what will you be using for screen reading, and on what operating system? I'm guessing Windows 10. What software will you have to use most often? Speaking ver broadly, the interaction models are kind of similar. You use tab almost exclusively in Windows, not vo-arrows. Enter will activate the button you're on, not the default button like on the Mac, but the space bar will activate the current button as well. The Windows key opens the Start Menu, where you can type searches and arrow down through results similar to Spotlight. Web navigation is similar to the Mac with Quick Nav on; use first-letter navigation to jump around, arrows to read, and tab to move from element to element. There are a LOT of features I'm skipping, like ways of reading the screen similar to vo-arrows, keyboard modes on webpages, and a bunch more. But these are my first thoughts. -- Alex Hall > On Nov 11, 2018, at 20:46, Christine Grassman <[email protected]> wrote: > > I need help ASAP.
