Well, I use Microsoft Outlook interchangeably between MacOs and Windows. I like
the fact that the Macintosh version has most common functions in a menu though
it does not have as much functionality as the Windows version. For example I
have not figured out a way to use the ignore conversation functionality in Mac
Outlook.
That being said, when documents are under 100 pages, they generally are
readable by VoiceOver, the accessibility checkers in Microsoft Office work
well, and with use of the numpad commander and hot spots I have gotten fairly
efficient.
It has come along way since Office 2010 where no content in the main section of
MS Office products was accessible. In the last year I I have seen the following
improvements:• Ability to use the VO cursor to easily navigate contact
suggestions.
• The ability to type the first few letters of a folder name when focus is on
the list of folders and then move to that folder.
• Corrections in what gets echoed when a delete key is pressed in the To/CC
fields.

With all that being said, Office is a huge set of programs, that include many
capabilities not all of which are regularly used by everybody. If you are
composing standard documents that don’t require track change capabilities, then
you are pretty much open to using almost any editing platform for composition,
since even the lowly text edit can save in Microsoft Word 2007 format.

Take care,

Jonathan
