Hi all,

My husband and I just purchased a OneLink smoke alarm, hoping to be able to
pair it with HomeKit. It cost $250, but we figured it was worth it if Homekit
allowed me to be able to interact with the alarm. The short version of our
story is that we've spent all morning trying to get it to work. We finally got
the smoke alarm working, but after four hours and two calls to tech support,
never got it paired with Homekit. I'm just wondering if those of you who use
Homekit for other devices usually have this much trouble getting devices set
up? We're returning the smoke alarm and just going with a cheap one, and
giving up have it work with Homekit. But I would like to use it for other
devices, so would like to know if people generally find devices hard to set up.
Cheers,
Donna
