Hi Terry, Ok here we go: 1 boot the mac and go into system preferences, under icloud you can sign out your friend and sign in as yourself. You may also have to sign in on the mac app store separately if you want to get mac apps from there. 2 external drives should work fine. If they are formatted NTFS for windows you'll only be able to copy from them not write to them. There are programs for the mac for ntfs accessibility, just do a google search. 3 the sendspace wizard is totally inaccessible on the mac, but the sendspace website works fine. 4 There is a dropbox app for the mac, it just kind of installs and disappears. But, after installation you'll see a shared folder in your home folder just copy and paste anything you want to save on dropbox into that folder and it will be uploaded. HTH Jeff
