Morning, all, So as those of you who have been following my posts this weekend will know, we finally gave up on Siri and decided to go with Alexa on a Sonos 1 for home automation. The setup was super easy and we spent the weekend messing with everything. then this morning ... I googled Wemo and learned that following a recent firmware update, their smart plugs now pair with Siri and Homekit without requiring a bridge. For those interested, it worked exactly as advertised. the firmware update went off without a hitch, as did the connection to Apple Home. So, after all this fuss, it looks like we'll be saying bye-bye to Alexa after all. Note: right now only the mini-smart plugs work without a bridge, so if you're interested in other Wemo devices, your mileage may vary. Though it looks like they're actively working on improving their Apple compatibility. I just thought I would share this, to hopefully save someone else on list the countless hours that we have invested trying to get all this to work. Hope it's helpful. Cheers, Donna
