Actually, is it truly?
Amazon wants you to focus on their service when using their devices, so they have little reason to support Apple music, certainly not if they prefer you use their own. additionally, I had a thought while writing this message. granted I do not use either service, but wonder if there might be a copyright factor crossing platforms like this, especially where the licensing rights are concerned? someone told me ages back that ITunes used to be rather destructive where private music libraries are concerned, our desire to play files of your own via ITunes I mean. Speaking very personally, as someone who still has a stereo...complete with turntable smiles, I have to ask why a person needs access to both platforms in a cross platform fashion? Why do you need to play apple music items using an amazon product and the other way around? or why one needs playlists in both platforms?
Just curious frankly,
Kare

Hey Shawn,

Well, it seems that we--or at least some of us--in the U.S. don't get it either.

I have Apple Music linked to Alexa on my phone, but when I try to play it on the
Sonos 1 using Alexa, she says "Apple Music is not supported on this device. To
play Apple Music, I actually have to use Siri on my phone with AirPlay. Pretty
Lame, imho.
Cheers,
Donna

Hi Simon. We countries that don't have the initials USA in their names don't
get Apple Music on the Echo just yet. Don't know why but that's Apple and
Amazon for ya.

Hi Donna,

From your phone yes, anything that is internal to your phones music collection
you can play through alexa.

Also apple music is available through amazon alexa now or at least on echo
devices.

I've been trying to get my itunes library from my server to be seen by my echo
but I've had no luck.

Subject: Does anyone know if it???s possible to play your iTunes library using
Alexa?

Hi all,

After about a month of trying to set up a smart home using Apple home, my
husband and I have finally given up and gone with Alexa. I would very much like
to be able to play my iTunes library on our Alexa device. Does anyone know if
there???s a way to do this?
Thanks,
Donna
