for starters, I think the alexa app is a real bear to use with voiceover. it's possible but not easy. that's in my experience. is your station on iheart radio or tune-in? when you set an alarm, do you do it verbally? does any sort of alarm go off when it's supposed to?
there's a place on Amazon where you can read about the things you can do with Alexa. I think it might be: "www.amazon.com/alexa <http://www.amazon.com/alexa>" you can even get into your personal stuff there kind of like the app but on your computer. sometimes they have quirks. I once called Amazon about something mine wasn't doing that it was supposed to be able to do and the tech told me to unplug it, wait for a few minutes and then plug it back in.
