If you want to do all the files in a folder, you will use cmd-a to select all then cmd-c to copy. Open an email or TextEdit and do a cmd-v to paste.

If you want to select certain files, interact with the folder, select the first file and press VO-cmd-enter. Using VO and up or down arrows navigate to another file and again press VO-cmd-enter. When you have selected all the files you want, do the copy and paste.

well, I really think that depends on who you ask. so tell me again, how do I
select the text to paste into text edit? if I just select all it'll select
those mp3 files unless it knows better than to paste those into a text edit
file.

well, you're probably right but I don't do it all that often so it might take

no. it sounded like more work than copying the individual titles primarily

I know next to nothing about terminal so I didn't understand those instructions

days. meanwhile the one I tried was pressing enter and copying the text.
couldn't do them all at once but it worked great.

Well, assuming you have open shell at current location service then you could right click
on the directory and find open terminal window at current location. Then you could use
the "ls" command or possibly ls -l if you need the details.

Then you can copy the output from terminal.

ISn't it wonderful how there are so many ways to do this?

Best wishes,
