Simon mentioned in a conversation about using Cisco JABBER as a soft phone
alternative to Cisco's soft phone software. Currently when working remotely and
I need to access my Cisco work phone, (for example with second alternative for
Microsoft Authenticator), I have to start VMWare and then Launch CCisco's soft
phone which as was mentioned is not accessible.
Last year at CSUN, Cisco announced talking features for their 88000 series desk
phones, and now Simon is mentioning Cisco Jabber.
Are there good solutions especially if they are Macintosh solutions for
reviewing call history, knowing who is calling me and being notified about
VoiceMail. The latter is not too big a problem since all my VoiceMail gets sent
as an email to my Exchange account.
Thanks,
Jonathan
Best wishes,
Jonathan Cohn
