One difference in the two models is that the 4K has Bluetooth 5. I don't know if that is important, the only Bluetooth device I may want in future are headphones. Is maximum range improved over BT 4 and lower?

Hi,

Yeah, the 4K would be nice, but I don't have a good reason to get one yet.  The 4 works just fine and I don't have that many TV's in my house to justify more Apple TV's.  Now, if I could just get a HomePod for about half-price, my life would be great.

Hi,
Yeah, it's amazing how irate some folks get.  The problem is that they are using older technology that is not always easy to make work within today's security needs.  In my world, it's actually amazing that being able to append the verification code is even possible.  That makes it kind of squash their complaints in that Apple is making it possible to do this higher security process on devices that normally don't have this level of security possible.

I did it with my ATV 2 this evening.  Worked like a charm.  I entered my Apple ID and password, then asked my iPhone to generate a verification code, entered it with the ATV remote and all went as planned.  Apple Music is not available of course,, but I can get at the music by connecting to one of my computers.  Purchased music is available, without connecting to the computer, but my playlists are in the Cloud, so I either need to connect to the computer or have iTunes Match, which I just got rid of in favour of Apple Music.  Purchased movies and TV shows are all available to my ATV 2 and I can get the ripped ones from the computer.  Cool, now I have access to the iTunes libraries on both Apple TV's.  I will say that the ATV 4 is much nicer in my world, but it's fun to still have the use of the old one for a while.

Normal 2FA behaviour would make you enter a six digit code that

Apple ID and password, it usually sends a notification to the
iPhone.  If it is not doing this, then it's possible that your ATV    is still considered an approved device from before, but I thought
