Hi Anders, Now I’m no expert but I have a couple of thoughts. Have you held the XR above the iPad with the back camera of the iPhone facing the iPad? Once the process starts then you can lay the two devices next to each other. At least that is how I remember doing it when I upgraded from my 5s to my 8+. But I could be remembering wrong. And is the iPad running the latest IOS?
