Hi all, OK, so Mark has re-awakened the bug in me, and I'm thinking about buying an iPad mini. But I'd like to do a sensibility check first.
I've been curious about learning Swift ever since Apple released Swift Playgrounds. However, my interest is largely as a hobby, I don't see myself suddenly embarking on a career as an app developer. With that in mind, I'm wondering if buying an iPad is just a silly expensive purchase. Other than the Swift Playgrounds issue, I've always felt like an iPad would just be redundant, since I have no need whatsoever for the extra screen real-estate. so here's my question. Do any of you own both an iPhone and an iPad? If so, what is the value of having both devices? What niche or need does the iPad fill that the phone does not? Thanks in advance for any input.
