Oh yes. Well that had me jumping through hoops, talking about
certificates, this is not a private connection and all that. I finally
got in. I will try it again later and see if I need to jump through more
hoops.

Normally, you only need to enter the IP, without the http or https, the
browser will figure it out. In Safari, there's usually a View link or
button where you and look at the site anyway. It will ask for your
Admin password to approve this, but since it is your printer, it should
be fine. Depending on the version of the print driver for your printer,
there is sometimes another way to get to the printer site. Go into
System Preferences, Printers & Scanners, select your printer from the
table, then VO-space on the Options & Supplies button. In the General
tab of this dialog, there may be a "Open printer web-site" button.
