Greetings, everyone.

I know there are multiple problems when using Preview to read Adobe
Acrobat files with VoiceOver, and I am not skilled at messing about
with these files. However, what I'm trying to do is so basic that I
feel there must be a way to accomplish my purpose.

Question: How do I read by word in an Adobe Acrobat file using
VoiceOver and then select that word for later pasting? Let's assume I
am on the first word of a file. How do I get to the second word and
have it read that word? Right arrow produces no sound. VO-right
arrow takes me to the next paragraph. Is this the best I can hope
for? In other words, I can read by paragraph using VO-right arrow
and even by lines (VO-down arrow gives me the next line); but I can't
read word by word. An Apple Accessibility rep advised me to get Adobe
Acrobat. Of course, I can do this and probably will.

I am using VoiceOver with macOS 10.14.3.

Thank you very much for all help.

Craig
