Hi, The trimming procedure shouldn’t make that big of a difference in performance. This link gives instructions and rationale for enabling trim on a third party SSD,

As always, it’s advisable to backup your drive before performing this as, in the unlikely event of a problem, you wouldn’t want to lose your data. Again, I really can’t see why this would make a big enough difference to cause your issues, but it’s certainly worth a try. Later...
