Hi

So trying to set up windows over 4 days before thinking maybe I should ask
someone that knows everything,

So to google I went,
It appears that if your on a pre 2015 mac and therefore needing to use a USB
flash drive to download the boot camp and windows installation files
And your using Mojave and attempting to install windows 10 version 1809,
You will without a doubt get this same issue.

If on a later than 2015 mac machine then it wont give probels.

It is known that 1809 gives this issue and you neeed to
Stop trying to install windows 10 1809,

Instead install via boot camp windows 10 1803 the 2018 april version.
This installs without issue
And then once windows 10 1803 is installed you then upgrade to 1809
In my case I opened the installation image and clicked setup.exe and the
installer did what it needed.

Crazy world for players.

Cheers.

Hello,

Have you tried both USB ports? I recall that one is supplied with full power
and the other power drops dramatically. Other than that it’s about waiting
until Apple fix the bootcamp drivers.

Hi List,
I’ve just reimaged my Mac book air mid 2013
I’ve installed the latest Mojave 10.14.3 production not a PB.

Prior to this reimage I had windows 10 on the machine through Boot Camp

Now with this new installation I’m getting an error when trying to install
windows 10 64Bit version 1809 and earlier versions.

The error is that the USB Flash drive I’m using to download the boot camp
drivers / windows stallation media being download does not have enough space to
carry out the Bootcamp setup.

I’ve used 3 different USB Flash drives,
16GB
32GB
& a 256 GB USB SSD

All give the same error message and all are formatted as DOS Fat32.

The installation worked fine on a Mac Book Pro 2018 and an earlier MBP 2015.

The only difference is tha this MBA is mid 2013 and needs to use a Flash drive
to obtain the BootCamp installation media

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Simon F
