Hi, the app is called foobar2000.
Yes it has the ellipsis
at the end of the name.
Add folder ellipsis.
I've tried control+shift+f, but that doesn't seem to work.

an ellipsis in the name when it's in the menus? If so, then, yes, you
need to make sure that the ellipsis is part of the shortcut title.
The other thing to note is that the key combination must not match
any current system wide command like cmd-c or cmd-x etc. I often use
ctrl-letter or ctrl-shift-letter since most MacOS shortcuts employ the
cmd key, not the ctrl key.
