I've never been able to get my watch to do distance. Time hr have been all I really get from it which is why I use a distance & cadence monitor with external heart rate monitor and my iPod.

It shows me calories, length of time, and heart-rate, so yes, you can use the watch for that. When I use the watch for an indoor walk or run, it does show me distance, too, so I would think it would do the same for a stationary bike, though I'm not sure how it would measure it. Try starting a work-out, and choosing in-door cycling, and see what happens.
