Yes these apps will do that. I may be going at it all wrong. Let me
elaborate. Using iCloud Drive instead of Dropbox. Here is a simple
example of how I want to use this resource. I decided on rtf as opposed
to txt so no matter where the file may end up at, it is workable. Create
a shopping list, rdit it from iOS or Mac or Windows. Mac or Windows
present no issues. Under iOS, here I may be expecting too much. I want
to open that document and have the text in focus. but VDR opens and
displays not one but 2 or 3 instances of the document (I need to learn
how to use the app anyway). If I open Pages, and navigate to the
document, that is fine. Why doesn't Pages open it directly from iCloud
Drive rather than VDR?
What I am getting at is, if I need to access documents on the
iPhone, I want to get there in a direct way. The simpler the better.
That is one reason why I was looking for a TextEdit-like app for iOS. Am
I dreaming? :)
I have not tried MS Word yet on the iPhone. Can it access iCloud Drive?

Hi ET,
What about pages,
Word,
Surely they will do that if you need it.

Is there a TextEdit equivalent text editor that supports .rtf for iOS?
