Hi, It won't remind you. What the App Store does is poll the apps available on your Mac, and compares that with the ones assigned to your Apple ID. If the app is in both locations, then it will be identified for updates if available. If the app is not present on the Mac, then the App Store ignores that app until you re-download it.
