Hi Mary,

I've got a Sonos Play Bar,
It's a few years old now and I don't have any issues with the voiceover voice
being cut off from my apple tv,
This may well be due to my sound bar being connected to my tv using an optical
cable and my apple tv connected to my Samsung tv with HDMI

That way everything comes through the tv first and as I've switched the tv
speakers off the sonos play bar and surrounds play the related audio.

Hope that helps.

Subject: Question for Apple TV users regarding sound bar

Hi all,
In the past, I have had a lot of trouble with sound bars not playing nicely
with voiceover, in that, when you were looking around, the first several
syllables of voiceover audio would go missing. If sound was playing through the
sound bar already, such as music or TV program, there was not a problem. I did
finally find a sound bar from LG a few years ago which solved this problem. But
I am considering an upgrade, and don’t want to go through the hassle again. So
I’m curious what quality sound bars are folks using these days with Apple TV
where a voiceover works as it should, that is no audio is cut off, even when no
other sounds are playing?
Mary
