Once I get the rent deal worked out, I won't need to write checks. I
even use bill pay to send money to a friend. Bill pay and debit card is
all I use.

especially if your bank is already a member of Zelle.

Personally, I almost never use paper checks anymore. Frankly, the growth
of person to person payment services like Zelle, as well as services to
pay merchants like Apple Pay, PayPal, or the good old plastic
credit/debit card likely explains why there's less and less support for
trying to make handling paper payments accessible.
