Hello, everyone.

When I first got my Mac, and even when I briefly experimented with
iCloud Drive, I could have sworn that when I opened TextEdit, it
displayed the files listed in the "Documents" folder. Of course, the
option to open a new document with "Command-N" was also visible.
Recently, I disabled iCloud Drive, and now, TextEdit opens directly in
an untitled document. In other words, the "Documents" folder contents
are not immediately displayed. An Apple Accessibility representative
told me TextEdit is not supposed to show all the documents on opening,
and he knows of no way to enable this behavior. I can certainly live
with the way it is behaving now, but can anyone shed light on this
question? It is as if TextEdit has forgotten the path to the folder
now that it has been restored to local, that is, non-iCloud Drive,
use.

Thank you.

Craig
