Hi Petrus,

Your mac book is one with the touch bar if I remember correctly?
Did you power the machine off completely or just turn vo off / on again?

Well this isn’t the only thing my Mac does that others don’t seem to do. Like
pressing the control key to stop voice over talking works fine on my wife’s Mac
but I have to press it two or three times before voice over shuts up sometimes
on my Mac. If I start keyboard help on my wife’s Mac and press the control key
voice over clearly says control to tell me what the key is but if I do it on
mine it will say cont, but can’t seem to tell me what the key is called by
saying the entire word. So far it seems to be the only key that doesn’t ’
 seem to work correctly.

Hi,

Not normal behavior as far as I know. I took a month of vacation in July, and
returned home to a MacBook Pro that worked normally.

Take it easy withit, I did that skiing 25 years ago and still get problems with
it today.

Subject: Using the Mac after a long time

Hi all,
This is the first time I’ve used my Mac to type on for over six weeks as I had
a broken wrist. I did notice something interesting when I opened the lid.
Voiceover was totally quiet, but still on as far as I could tell. I had to turn
off voiceover and then turn it on again before I could get it to talk. Sop even
though I fixed the problem I was wondering if this is normal or if it is one of
those annoying little things that computers do from time to time.
