Hi,

When the iPhone is connected via USB, you'll need to go into the iPhone
configuration settings in iTunes on the Mac, and check what items are set to
sync. In the Music category, if her iPhone has the space, you can set it to
sync all music, but if her library is too large on the Mac, you'll need to
select which items sync.

Later...

Hi all,
This could be an obvious question but my brain isn’t working at this point.
I copied a couple of CD’s on to my wife’s Mac last week and they didn’t show up
on her iPhone like they do for me. She is not subscribed to iTunes Match or
iTunes so I figured this would be the reason. I’m subscribed to iTunes Match so
all of my copied CD’s go across all of my devices straight away. I plugged her
iPhone in to her Mac and did the trusting devices thing that it asks you to do.
Then it said that it c couldn’t sink all of the items from iTunes because the
Mac hadn’t been authorised. Even though I thought it had, so I opened the
Preferences for iTune and selected authorise this device on the Mac. It seemed
to take a bit longer to sink iTunes between the two devices so I thought I had
it. But the albums I copied to the Mac still don’t show up on the iPhone.
I’ll have another look on the weekend when she is home as I keep forgetting her
sign in password on her Mac and she hasn’t got Touch ID.
