Okay, I know that I should get used to it but when I use my MacBook Pro with THAT TRACKPAD THE SIZE OF New Jersey, I’M ALWAYS MANAGING TO DRAG A FINGER OR A THUMB ACROSS IT AND JUMPING TO NEW WINDOWS. I HAVE TURNED OFF (UNCHECKED) EVERY FUNCTION OF THE TRACK PAD IN SYSTEM PREFERENCES, AS WELL AS IN THE VOICEOVER UTILITIES UNDER THE TRACK PAD COMMANDER. BUT STILL IT REACTS TO MY LAZY FINGERS. VERY IRRITATING. SO FAR, I HAVE MANAGED TO STOP THE ANNOYANCE BY LAYING A THIN SHEET OF ALUMINUM ((ALUMINIUM TO YOU U.K. FOLKS) OVER THE TOP, AND THEN TAPING A SHEET OF PRINTER PAPER ON TOP. FINALLY NO UNWANTED REACTIONS. BUT I’D LIKE A MORE ELEGANT SOLUTION. Is there a way anywhere in the OS to completely remove power or function to the touch pad?
