Have you got the itunes application set to sync back to your mac book the tones as well as books and music? Just a thought, Just another one that you might want to think about in the case of playing around with these things Set up a new user that you can use to play with different things like this That way you wont mess up your main and probably administrator account. Also means if things went crazily wrong you can just delete the user and start again.
