Anders, I have both the earpods second gen and the power beats pro
For battery life the power beats have it over the earpods and the beats also have on device buttons for volume play pause etc. They also have hooks that go over the top of your ears to stop them falling out and the sound quality is fantastic Slightly larger than the earpods so don't fit in a pocket as well but they are really worth while looking at if you can. The earpods are great also, I get great usage from them and they tuck away in the charging case and fit in my pocket be it jeans or jacket it doesn't matter, I put them on my charging pad with the wifi charging they are fully charged in a matter of minutes almost. Again sound quality is pretty dam good but they are small and I do wonder how I'd go if I dropped them, but as yet I haven't as they sit in my ears very comfortably without movement or anything. You can also purchase a little strap thing that connects to the pods and goes around the back of your neck to ensure that if they fall out you don't lose them. What it really comes down to is what your willing to pay as the beats are slightly more than the earpods but the earpods have wifi charging.the beats don't. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Anders Holmberg Sent: Saturday, 21 September 2019 4:57 AM To: 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries <[email protected]> Subject: AirPods or not? Hi friends on the list! Actually when the AirPods came out I didn’t think of buying them as they seem to have not as good battery as other wireless headphones. Then came the second edition and I still didn’t want them as I was thinking that I didn’t need all kinds of gadgets that all other have. But now I sit here and thinking of buying them as I need something that’s really small when I go out taking the bus or going by taxi. I have a lot of headphones here as I am an audio geek but they’re to bulky to put in a jacket. Even though my marshal Major III Bluetooth which are foldable but they take up a lot of space in a pocket on a jacket. Th AirPods really seems to fit my needs. So if I buy these later in the year for my birthday or Christmas I would like to know if there are things I should be aware of? Are there a lot of bugs that are really annoying for a VoiceOver user or other annoying bugs? Also I would like to have some tips on how to not drop one or the other? THey’re really small so it can actually happen. They are a bit pricy though so I am not sure I can afford them. There are alternatives out there but I wonder if they are as good as the EarPods? Thanks in advance for all answers. /A -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
