Pages is horrible for reading so when, for instance, I need to read through a completed translation, I just copy the whole thing into TextEdit and read it there. This also has the advantage of not reading the changes when I have track changes turned on. You can set a short cut for the service New TextEdit window containing selection which means you just have to do Cmd-a and the said short cut.
