Hi, I have a problem with two Logitech Clearchat Pro usb headsets. At first i thought there was something wrong with the first headset, because everyone thought it was a very good headset, so i bought a new one, turns out it's the same problem. What happens is that the sound from the mike of the headset is very very low, thin and screechy with not much bass at all. This is strange since i've heard usb headsets of the same brand that sounds really good. There is also a constant hum around 50 Hz which is what our power is at here in Sweden. This 50 Hz hum can be somewhat eluminated if i constantly hold my hand on either the Mac or the keybord, an aluminum keyboard that i got with my Imac, but that shouldn't be necessary, after all isn't the meaning with headsets that you should keep hands free? Because the mike volume is so terribly low compared to everything else, i wonder is there any setting i should try on the Mac and if so where is it? I have tried the settings under the system preferences/audio configuration. Mike is on 100% volume both gain and volume so it should be very loud, but it isn't. Do i need a preamp for this headset? Shouldn't be necessary i think since after all it's a headset and a preamp should be built in. I can't find any solutions to this problem and it drives me up the walls, especially since i'm going to get interviewed next sunday and we have already made recordings with the built-in mic, (sounded horrible) and the old usb headset, (sounded also horrible due to the thin sound). Any help would be most appreciated. /Krister
