64-bit computing is literally older than the iPhone. Apple gave developer is a year-and-a-half notice letting them know that 32-bit support would be dropped. it's sad that a lot of people decided to the cost-benefit ratio wasn't worth it, and I understand how frustrated people who are using apps that are no longer in development must be.

I can't really think of any justification for any operating system to continue preserving 32-bit though. In fact, I'm surprised that there is a 32-bit version of Windows 10. the only reason why I can think of for 32-bit support being around in Windows 10 is that the developer environments for Microsoft if not yet been updated to 64-bit.

the same thing happened to people when they moved from Doss to Windows 95, and there was no backwards compatibility at all for 16-bit applications in 32-bit environment. All things considered, 32 bit computing has had a glorious run! It seems to me the time has come to move forward.

I’m sad to say apple have really dropped the ball on these operating systems this year.

Yeah, and I was only thinking last night that I might get the Overdrive App for the Mac so I could download books onto my Mac using it. But that doesn’t look like it will be worth it now.

It's interesting that I've just been speaking to a sighted friend wh says their mac book and they say they don't want to replace it as they have I've just been speaking to a sighted friend who's mac book has just died and they are going for an iPad mini rather than a new replacement mac book due to the feed back they are hearing about Catalina, So obviously the sighted world is not happy with the way apple are currently doing things related to their operating systems

I wish steve jobs would come back!

Can someone dig him up for us,.
