Hello all,
Well, I upgraded to Catalina today and some things are behaving rather oddly
now.

In terminal (which I often use for some types of file operations and a few of
the macports I like to have) whenever I issue a command followed by the tab key
(to complete a filename), it behaves exactly like I had issued a backslash on
the line and becomes non-responsive. No amount of hitting enter gets around it.
The command will not run and the only way to return to the terminal prompt is
by issuing ctrl-c.

This happens always after the first initial command (ls works until this
happens, same with mv, rm, and some others). I have already sent a message to
apple accessibility detailing some of the problems. Hopefully, they will
forward it to the proper dept.

Now, in other apps.
Safari: when reading on a site like fanfiction.net, I keep getting a strange
interruption while reading text. It ends each line with the announcement
“insertion between character A and B where A or B is any of the characters.
This is rather annoying and I have yet to figure out how to make this behavior
stop or correct it. I am haveing serious thought to rolling back to the
previous OS.

Mail: so far, I haven’t found anything amiss with this application. It appears
to function as required with no errors that I have run into, yet.

There are a number of other apps I use on here and I haven’t tried them yet. I
wonder just how many errors in the OS I am going to find before this is done?
