. I called disability hot line at apple and he told me they were working on
a fix. He suggested as a work around that when ever we wer on the phone, to
turn off VO before disconnecting, then back on after disconnecting.

You know, it just occurred to me Lloyd when you mentioned the triple click
press to get speech back, that I’ve been dealing with speech loss since iOS
12, and my solution has always been to use the triple click press, only I
had to do it two or possibly three times in a row to get speech back it
seems to me that people have tried it but I’ve only been doing it the one
time. I don’t know, just a crazy idea, but try doing it twice even three
times, in fact I’ve had to do it four times in the past it’s like you have
to it’s like turning speech off and then back on again and then back on
again once again for good measure. If that makes any sense. I will say that
when I did lose speech, I still had the voice over Sounds just no voice
output. I don’t know if that’s the same condition that we’re having here
with this new version or not. Anyway, give it a try triple click three times
or even four if necessary then give up on that one
