Hello. Yesterday, I think I wrote to the list saying that I did not have the dreaded bug on the iPhone. Well, I should not have spoken so soon. Coming back from work, I had put my iPhone in my bag and had turned the volume down. And when I got home, I took the phone out of my bag. Bearing in mind, I had not done anything to the iPhone at all. There was no speech. I thought when the battery had gone but I had not received the warning that the battery had gone low. So I put the phone down on the wireless battery charger thinking that the iPhone would restart Getting no response, I called the iPhone using my landline. Phone voice-over did speak And the phone rang. I got speech straight away. So I turned the landline phone off meaning that I did not pick up the call. There was no speech again. In the end, I picked up the phone and feeling haptic feedback, and nothing more, I proceeded to turn the phone off. Please note, I do not have any site whatsoever. So when I could feel no haptic feedback sliding my finger to the left of the phone, I thought well I would double tap it. My thinking was if it went to the emergency, but I don’t have my phone dialing the emergency number, as I don’t want to contact the emergency by accident anymore, as I had a bad experience. So I then put the phone back on in the usual way and voice-over was back. I don’t have a computer at the moment so if speech did not come back, I would be in trouble as I have no sighted person with me here. I contacted a friend who was on this list. He told me that this was the bug. So the moral of the story is, that I was not even using the phone, and I experienced it.
