Hi,

I think the the answer to this depends on if you are doing this for keynote or 
more generally 

If for keynote then I think the place to do this is in the presenter display or 
set up show menus where you can choose to mirror the slides etc - this is not 
mirroring the full computer it is just then using the Apple TV as a way to 
present the slides - again I can do a bit of playing with keynote later and get 
back to you.

If your question was more than just keynote I will need to leave it to someone 
more knolabgible than me
