If you have VMWare Fusion 3, then do the easy install of Windows 7. You can enter all the details (like your name, windows product key, etc) with VoiceOver before the install starts. Once the install starts, it is automatic, and, when it finishes, Windows 7 will be installed, and the VMware tools will already be loaded with all of the drivers (like sound) installed.
If you install manually, or you try to run Windows 7 on Fusion 2, you're pretty much on your own here. Sighted help and hackery will be necessary. If so then install vm tools! Also have you got a sound card installed with in the vm setup? No audio device then no sound. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of VaShaun Jones Sent: Wednesday, 24 February 2010 4:23 a.m. To: [email protected] Cc: macvoiceover [email protected] Subject: VM and initial sound issues Listers I installed Windows 7 on a virtual machine and had to get sighted help because I did not have sound. Since I had the eyes available I installed JAWS as well. I was hoping that someone can tell me two things. 1. How do I get sound? 2. What else do I need to install and how to get a fully functional VM? Any help is appreciated. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
