Hi Eleanor

You don't need to use your mac and iTunes no longer exists as a stand alone
application in MacOS Catalina

Just go in to settings / general on your iPad,
Then under software update you can run the update installation from there via a
wifi connection and the iPad will do all the updating work for you.

Hope that helps.

Subject: Query re how to update my IPad through my Mac having upgraded to
Catalina?

Hi all

Really hoping someone can help me here. I’d like to update my IPad to IOS13.3.
I’ve always managed to do it successfully through my Mac up to now. However,
this is the first time I’ve tried since finally upgrading to the latest Mac
operating system, Catalina, and I’ve hit a real problem. For some reason ITunes
on my Mac seems to have completely vanished ... or it’s so well hidden I can’t
find it. Also, when I’ve reset the network settings on my IPad and plugged it
into my Mac the dialogue which used to appear asking me about the IPad and the
computer trusting each other just hasn’t come up.

So I’m really hoping someone can help me and can send me some instructions on
how to update my IPad through my Mac now using the new Mac OS??.

Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

Eleanor
