Jonathan and Harry,
Well I am afraid I have yet to connect my braille display under
Catalina but will at some point. Catalina has been much more of a
learning curve than previous OSs especially with the demise of iTunes.
So Harry, what Jonathan suggests is a good starting point. I would
take some time and review the settings related to braille in Voiceover
Utility.

you. ET seems to be the local expert on Braille and Catalina. It sounds
like you might have the Braille viewer on screen. If you open the
VoiceOver utility with control-option-F8, you can control the various
panels that VoiceOver can display within the visuals category in there
you should find a panels and menus tab where VoiceOver onscreen effects
can be controlled.

Running latest Catalina, I connected my Orbit Reader 20 via USB to my
MacBook Pro 2013. I’m not at all experienced with this! I’ve now got a
box on the screen which VoiceOver tells me is the Accessibility
Visuals Agent and I cant get rid of it! I tried typing a new note
using 6 dot UEB and after I delete a few characters using dot 7 on my
display, every time I get the beach all of death whirling away and I
have to force quit Notes!
Can anyone help such a novice?
